The Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Ottawa is the official representative body of the Slovenian Government in Canada. The Embassy provides consular assistance to Slovenian citizens in Canada, represents the interests of the Republic of Slovenia in Canada, promotes Slovenian tourism and bilateral political, economic and cultural relations between Slovenia and Canada. Every few months senior Embassy consular staff come to Vancouver to resolve passport and other issues. Please refer to the Embassy site for updates.
In Vancouver and BC, the Slovenian Embassy is represented by honorary consul Margaret Rudolf. While honorary consuls do not have the mandate to issue passports or visas, they provide advice, quick access to Embassy staff, and support Slovenian business, academic, and cultural interests. The Canadian Slovenian Historical Society is an independent society formed in 2002 to coordinate, research, record, and preserve the history of Slovenians in Canada.
